Objectives of the Position
• Supervision of a group fitness class.
• Greeting all customers in person, promoting products/services and responding to requests for information.
• Business development of clientele for group fitness purposes.
• To contribute to the overall efficient running and promotion of the Armadale Arena and recreation centre by complying with the Armadale Arena and Armadale Aquatic Centre polices and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Qualifications/Training/Experience
• Instructing Group Fitness Exercise Classes relevant to the qualification/certification held.
• A service environment dealing with customers and the general public.
• Relevant Les Mills Certificate or Class Certification
• Fitness WA Accreditation or Group Exercise Leader (GEL) Certification
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
• Current Police Clearance Certificate
• Ability to obtain a Working with Children check. Page 1 of 3
• Current ‘C’ Class License (desirable)
Skills
• Interpersonal and verbal communication skills to communicate with other staff and to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Business development and leadership.
• Extensive skills relating to the program qualified to instruct.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
• Specialist knowledge in Group Fitness.
